Egg freezing: Modernism or necessity?

More and more women around the world are postponing starting a family for various social or economic reasons, with the result that their fertility is falling dramatically. Egg freezing is a documented and safe method to maintain fertility, which gives every woman the ability to decide when it will be ‘The Right Time (isostistigmi)’ to start her own family!

During the 6th SSRHR MEETING, held in October 2022 in Heraklion, Crete, Dr. George Christopoulos, ObGyn, Assistant Professor at Imperial College of London and Reproductive Medicine Specialist, presented the latest data on egg freezing for social reasons. The Congress was organized by Professor Antonis Makrigiannakis, Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, University of Crete, and had international participation.
